Nizwa is the capital of Dakhlia province and one of the most famous cities in Oman. The city lies in an oval valley between the mountains and surrounded by a sea of palm trees. For a long time, Nizwa was the spiritual center of Oman and the mainstay of the defense of the interior of the country. Nizwa is the oldest capital of Oman.
