Common description

Paros is one of the Cyclades islands in Greece. Separated from Naxos by a six-kilometer strait. The main rock is steam marble, from which large buildings and sculptured famous statues of Hellas were built.

The southern half of the island, until recently uninhabited, is now heavily built up by tourist settlements. The town of Paros, or wig, is the island's main port and administrative center.
The island is famous for its excellent wines - both red and white.
